Newsletter 85 - April 2009

Dear Members

When we emerge from our house in the morning and the sky is bright, when we head out from our office and there is still light, when we finally ditch our woolies, our goose downs, and our tuques, it’s a sure sign Spring is here. Sr. Esther Ling’s Surprise Visit

It was a great pleasure for us to hear from Sr. Esther that she would be visiting Toronto again. Sr. Esther was invited by St. Agnes Kou Ying Tsao Catholic Church to lead their Retreat Seminar. It was a busy schedule with seminars taking place on March 12th, 13th evenings and all day on Saturday March 14th. Due to the short notice and Sister’s jam packed itinerary, the alumni members were only able to have the pleasure of her company during lunch on Friday. A dim sum lunch was quickly assembled, it was short, but sweet!

Fall Outing

Our member Minnie Sham has kindly offered her residence in Campbellville to all SMCC alumni for an outing. The Committee has set the date on Saturday, September 26th, 2009. Stay tuned, more details will follow.

Condolences

Our deepest sympathy to Rose Law and Dr. Margaret Tao for the recent loss of their mother Kit Fong Chung on December 26, 2009. Our prayers are with you and your family, Rose and Margaret
